I just thought it was high time for there to be more words on this thing. Marks piece about his famous friend was nice, and I was glad to read it and have it here.

For some reason, maybe the book readings, maybe pending graduation(s), I’ve been talking a lot more about this site to folks. Some have expressed interest in the publishing wing, some in the podcasts, others in the videos. Now there’s the added excitement of yet another change to the site in the works, one aimed at the look and brand of LOATHE. You all can read or see more about this in coming days.

Also, since we all have changes coming in the near to medium future, I’m trying to get a schedule of production going that includes typing words to blogs, just like this one. Feel free to join in my conversation of start your own. We’d all enjoy that, I think.

Hello, Loathe, loathe listeners, LoatheCast crew and anyone else from the internets.

Say, I went and told Jason Chastain that I’d do the leg work on this episode of the LoatheCast, the one about Truth or Dare. But I ran into a bit of a thing where-in I failed to make the required calls to people to record me playing that game with them. Part of it was school, part of it was that Superbowl and part of it was my inherent lazyness.

At any rate, I’d like to get you all interested in this last gasp scheme I’ve concocted. It goes a little like this:

On Saturday, February 13th, 1:00 Pacific Standard Time, call 1-605-715-4900; This is a conference call number. You will get some prompts to say your name (to be announced that you are joining this deal). Then you will need to enter the code, which is 603 7823. I believe there is a # or a * requested too. Listen close and do what they ask. It’s really pretty simple. You also may be asked to agree to be recorded. Please do this, by pressing a 1 or something.

Then the whole conversation will be recorded. It will be simple, really.

So for this episode, Truth or Dare, I might ask you the basics. “Alright, are you ready to play Dave?” to which you’d say “Sure, Pat!” and I’d say “Truth Or Dare?” and you’d pick one. “Dare, Pat.” and I would simply “dare” you to call in to the LoatheLine, (our other recording mechanism 1-888-227-3127; channel # 6387#; password 8675309#) and make some “Original Audio Mayhem”…Or I’d say “I Dare you to sing the Canadian national anthem” or something clever like that.

The same would go for the Truth option. The idea here is to capture the initial exchange and then you can go with it from there. And remember that anything goes, really. Talk about DareDevils, or some Daring do you ‘ve done, like jump out of airplanes or long motorcycle rides. Or offer some truth you’d discovered in life, or a truthful take on Loathe, LoatheCast, loathe-listeners or any of our various media branches. Be honest now, you’ve got SOMETHING to say, don’t you?

So if you’re interested, have some time and something to say, I’ll hear you Saturday. If not, well, I dare you to tell us why!

Pat
